Hoppy Easter

Today Bernie got up early and went to Easter mass. Then she spent the afternoon helping out with the kids because both Laurie and Paula are really sick with the stomach flu.

They had asked us to dinner tonight but because they don't feel well, they decided to buy us dinner instead. So they lent us their car and off we went.

First we went to the drive-thru at Round Rock Donuts. We got a dozen donuts. Because it was closing time they put a few extras in our box.

Then we went to Shady Grove for dinner. For an appetizer we had the Frito Pie: chili served over Fritos, right on the bag. It was really good but a tad hot so we added quite a bit of sour cream to it.

For dinner we had the Hippie Sandwich, which is grilled eggplant, bell peppers, zucchini, mushrooms, arugula, tomato and mozzarella cheese with pesto mayonnaise on five grain Hippie Bread. We added pesto ranch and it was absolutely delicious, what a great sandwich. www.theshadygrove.com

Then we stopped by Walmart to pick up milk and the Sunday paper. When we got back to Bella we had some of the donuts with milk and we couldn't believe how good these donuts are. It was so hard to stop eating them, but yes, we still do have some left for tomorrow. www.roundrockdonuts.com
